1. Purpose & Scope
This Fair Usage Policy ("Policy") applies to all telecommunications services provided by Abbax Technologies, LLC ("Abbax," "we," "our," "us"), including Business Phone System calling, Contact Center services, Cloud Fax, toll-free numbers, and local numbers (collectively, the "Services").
Our plans are designed for normal business use. This Policy exists to prevent the small minority of use cases that could degrade network quality or unfairly increase costs for everyone else. It supplements — and forms part of — our Terms of Service.
2. What "Unlimited" Means
"Unlimited" calling refers to unmetered, person-to-person business communication within the United States and Canada, consistent with typical usage by similarly sized business customers on the same plan.
As a guideline, typical business use does not exceed 3,000 outbound minutes per user per month or 100 unique numbers dialed per user per day. Usage consistently and materially above these levels may be flagged for review. Exceeding a guideline is not automatically a violation — sustained patterns inconsistent with normal business communication are what trigger review.
3. Business Phone System & Calling
Unlimited voice plans are intended for live, human-to-human dialog. The following are not considered normal business use on unlimited plans and require a usage-based or specialty plan:
- Auto-dialing, predictive dialing, or robocalling;
- Continuous or extensive call forwarding to numbers outside your account;
- Telemarketing or call-center-style outbound campaigns run on standard seat plans;
- Transmission of broadcasts, monitoring feeds, or other non-conversational continuous audio;
- Resale of service, trunking, or use as a gateway for other carriers or platforms;
- Traffic pumping, access stimulation, or calls placed to artificially generate revenue.
International calling is billed at published per-minute rates unless your plan includes specific international destinations.
4. Cloud Fax
"Unlimited inbound" fax means fax volumes consistent with ordinary business document exchange. Outbound faxing is measured per page as described in your plan. The following are outside normal use:
- Fax broadcasting or bulk unsolicited fax campaigns ("junk faxing"), which are prohibited by law under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA);
- Using fax lines for continuous automated document transmission at machine-generated volumes;
- Reselling fax capacity to third parties.
Healthcare and other regulated customers should route documents through their assigned secure fax lines to preserve HIPAA audit-trail coverage.
5. Toll-Free & Local Numbers
Toll-free and local numbers are provisioned for active business use by your organization. To keep numbering resources available and compliant:
- Numbers must be used in connection with active Abbax service — hoarding, stockpiling, or warehousing numbers without use may result in reclamation after notice;
- Numbers may not be resold, leased, or transferred to third parties except through lawful porting;
- Toll-free numbers may not be used for traffic-pumping or artificially inflated inbound traffic schemes;
- Caller ID information must be accurate — spoofing caller ID with intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongfully obtain anything of value is prohibited;
- You must maintain accurate emergency (E911) address information for each number and device used with our voice services.
6. SMS & Messaging
Business SMS is subject to carrier registration requirements (10DLC and toll-free verification). You are responsible for obtaining recipient consent, honoring opt-outs promptly, and complying with the TCPA, CTIA Messaging Principles, and applicable carrier policies. Unsolicited bulk messaging, snowshoeing across numbers to evade filtering, and prohibited content categories may result in immediate suspension of messaging capability.
7. Prohibited Uses
Regardless of plan, the Services may not be used for:
- Any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive activity;
- Harassment, threats, or abusive communications;
- Interfering with or degrading the Abbax network or other customers' service;
- Circumventing usage measurement, security controls, or this Policy.
8. Monitoring & Enforcement
We monitor aggregate usage patterns — not the content of your communications — to operate the network and apply this Policy. If your usage appears inconsistent with this Policy, we will typically contact you first to understand the use case and recommend an appropriate plan.
For material or repeated violations, or where required to protect the network or comply with law, we may throttle, suspend, or terminate the affected Services with or without notice. Fraudulent or unlawful usage may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time as network conditions, regulations, and carrier requirements evolve. Changes take effect upon posting to our website. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
